Mulan

Achei um dos melhores lives action até então. E é bem óbvio, desde o primeiro trailer, aliás, que não seria um remake da animação, e, sim, uma nova adaptação do conto chinês. Quem foi ver esperando um copia e cola como a Disney tem feito, se decepcionou -ou surpreendeu- mesmo. 

O visual é lindíssimo, o mais bonito dos lives. O início, apesar de um pouco corrido, é satisfatório, pois mostra o porquê da Mulan ser uma lutadora habilidosa desde sempre. Gostei bastante da performance da Yifei Liu, não está nada apática como diziam. Ela fez uma Mulan super gostável. A bruxa, apesar de ser uma personagem um pouco desnecessária, foi um bom contraponto pra Mulan e a composição da Gong Li foi perfeita. O Jason Scott Lee fez o Böri Khan muito bem, embora o Shan Yu seja mais assustador. As pequenas referências à animação, através de diálogos, principalmente, são ótimas e trazem uma nostalgia. As cenas de luta são boas, mas poderiam ser melhores. Senti falta da cena do corte de cabelo, embora seja compreensível na história, e, principalmente, a da China se curvando perante a Mulan, fez muita falta. A cena final é ótima! Uma das mais bonitas de todos os lives. E, a abordagem do feminino, do empoderamento e união feminina se mostrou bem natural, muito melhor que o feminismo forçado de Jasmine e Bela.

No mais, é um filme muito bom. Com uma trilha linda (arrepiei sempre que tocou o instrumental de Imagem/Reflection), um visual muito bem-feito e atuações bem convincentes.

I  thought one of the best lives action so far. And it's pretty obvious, since the first trailer, by the way, that it wouldn't be a remake of the animation, but, rather, a new adaptation of the Chinese tale. Who went to see it waiting for a copy and paste like Disney has done, been disappointed -or surprised- even.

The look is beautiful, the most beautiful of lives. The beginning, although a little busy, is satisfactory, as it shows why Mulan has been a skilled fighter since always. I really liked the performance of Yifei Liu, it is nothing apathetic as they said. She made a super nice Mulan. The witch, despite being a slightly unnecessary character, was a good counterpoint for Mulan and the composition of Gong Li was perfect. Jason Scott Lee did Böri Khan very well, although Shan Yu is more frightening. The small references to animation, through dialogues, mainly, are great and bring a nostalgia. The fight scenes are good, but they could be better. I missed the haircut scene, although it is understandable in the story, and especially that of China bowing to Mulan, it was sorely missed. The final scene is great! One of the most beautiful of all lives. And, the approach of the feminine, of empowerment and feminine union proved to be quite natural, much better than the forced feminism of Jasmine and Bela.

Besides, it's a very good film. With a beautiful soundtrack (I shivered whenever I played the instrumental of Image / Reflection), a very well-made look and very convincing performances.
